Cochran Spaniels Health Guarantee & Contract

The following health guarantee is a binding agreement between Cochran Spaniels, and the buyer, for the sale of one puppy. Failure to comply with these requirements below will void our contract and health guarantee.

Out guarantee to you is that your Puppy will be delivered to you, in good health, with all of the age appropriate vaccinations. 

All of our puppies remain with us until 8 weeks and leave with a clear bill of health by our licensed veterinarian, and have had their first vaccinations.

We require that the you as the buyer have Your Puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian of your choice within 72 hours of bringing your puppy home, (sometimes it helps to have your appointment already scheduled) and then provide proof to us as the seller. We require the you register your puppies microchip once final payment is made or pick up day whichever comes first and forward that to us as well. Please email these to our email cochranspaniels@yahoo.com. Failure to provide proof that your puppy was seen by your licensed  veterinarian will void this health guarantee.

The Buyer agrees that the balance is due at the time the Buyer takes full possession of the dog. The balance of the purchase price is to be paid via gooddog or cash.  

If the Buyer cannot pick up the Puppy on the scheduled go home day an additional charge of $50 per day will be charged for boarding. Boarding accommodations are only available for up to one week following go home day or up to 9 weeks of age if the Puppy is purchased after scheduled go home day. If these accommodations are needed balance of puppy will be paid in full.

Cochran Spaniels provides a 1 year health guarantee against any serious genetic illness that affects your Puppy’s quality of life. Cochran Spaniels guarantees the Puppy to be in good health at the time of the transfer of ownership to the Buyer. 

Cochran Spaniels reserves the right to have the Puppy examined by a veterinarian of their choice before a replacement is made. After examination is complete and if an issue is found, the Buyer may choose a replacement Puppy from Cochran Spaniels upcoming litters as one comes available. Under no circumstances will Cochran Spaniels pay or assist in paying veterinary expenses after the Puppy is purchased.

The Buyer is aware that the Puppy can have parasites like giardia, coccidian, or roundworm. Cochran Spaniels does everything in their power to prevent parasites by putting their adult dogs and puppies on a de-worming protocol. 

 The Buyer is responsible for the daily health care and maintenance of the puppy, including all immunizations, de-worming and examinations recommended after purchase, as well as providing necessary medication and follow-up treatments from veterinarian visits. In order for the guarantee to remain in effect Buyer must keep receipts and records to verify that they have regularly taken the puppy to a licensed veterinarian for checkups and all required immunizations.

If Buyer fails to follow through with immunization requirements and regularly scheduled veterinarian visits all guarantees will be void. This guarantee does not cover any veterinarian costs. The Buyer is aware that there may be visits to a veterinarian and understands that he/she will be responsible for all payments.

Cochran Spaniels makes no guarantees regarding the loss of the dog because of accidental death, theft, sickness, cancer, or any other loss that is beyond the Breeder's control.

The Buyer agrees to not place the Puppy in a shelter or rehome the Puppy. If the Buyer must return the puppy for any reason it will be on a surrender basis only with no refund. All deposits are non-refundable.

This health guarantee is between Cochran Spaniels and the Buyer as listed, and does not transfer ownership if the Puppy is sold or transferred. By signing below, you agree to the terms in this contract and constitutes as a legal and binding health guarantee.
